IVMOA Membership Benefits

Strength in Numbers–On many previous occasions the need arose for costly exercises, which would have been prohibitive for a small vending operator. (Legal Action against a manufacturer, accountancy fees for GST expertise and ruling applications to the ATO). These fees spread over a number of members made it affordable for all.

Recognition by Manufacturers and Suppliers– As indicated by the successful deals offered by Arnott’s and Schweppes, we are now being recognised as a professional group. We also expect to achieve future business opportunities when they arise.

Opportunity to comment on matters that will affect Vending– through IVMOA’s membership with the AVA, we are able to have our say on important matters and rulings that our regulatory bodies decide to change or modify. Recent instances are the proposed changes to our coinage and the imposition of a sales tax on amusement machine takings (and suggestions that it be extended to include product vending equipment).

Shared Information on Equipment– Via our email broadcasts, any problems that our members have can mostly be solved with a solution from the others.

Respect from other members– Our policy is to work together to build our businesses.

Opportunity to acquire Multi outlets– There has been many occasions where IVMOA members have jointly acquired locations. An outlet may have required a coffee vendor but the operator tendering for the site didn’t do coffee, so used another member who does.

In summary, we are attempting to build an association, which portrays vending in a professional way. One of the ways to achieve this is to become more professional ourselves, and we believe that this can be achieved by our membership in IVMOA.
